Too much and never enough - Mary L Trump

This is the revelatoy story about Donald J Trump and how he became the man he is today, told by his niece, PhD in psychology Mary L Trump.
She is the "black sheep" of the family, and her dad, Donald's older brother, died tragically while she was still in school.
She is the "black sheep" of the family, and her dad, Donald's older brother, died tragically while she was still in school.
I listened to this book, read by the author herself, while painting the ceiling in our down stairs tv room. (I hope it doesn't taint the lovely room we created for ever. )
She tells the story from her perspective as a child, growing up in the family but also as a psychologist who can decipher all the destructive traits that run in her family.
Donald was the golden child, and he has never had to meet any repercussions of his failures and has no interest in how his actions affect other people. Just like his dad, a completely numb sociopath, he has been enabled all through his life.
The book is difficult to listen to sometimes, but nothing in it surprises me at all.
It all makes sense, and the story is important to tell for the lesson of what can happen when you enable a narcissist like Donald Trump, and how brittle democracy really is.
